Customer objective: to design and quickly produce the plastic enclosures of an industrial board to be presented at a performance. The design had to take into account the bulk of the internal electronics and show the company logo on the visible side. Coesum solution: Our designer has developed a unique aesthetic solution able to satisfy all the customer’s requests to make the object pleasing to the eye, despite its use in the industrial sector. Result: In about 15 days we developed the complete engineering design proposal, created the small series of required prototypes and painted the plastic parts so that they were aesthetically ready for the occasion.
Portfolio Description
AAEON is today among the leading designers and manufacturers of advanced industrial embedded IT platforms. At the forefront of design and implementation of IoT solutions it became a member of the Asus group in 2011 and an associate member of Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance.
The heart of the new design is the AAEON AIOT LoRa Node board, a Long Range Radio Node Board, designed to connect with a wide variety of sensors and input devices ensuring a faster and more flexible connection. The card is easily configurable for PC and is highly customizable thanks to the ODM division of AAEON.
The AIOT LoRa Node has been broken down into three parts, an upper one with a tone-on-tone relief company logo, a blue median shell and an all-white lower one. The shells have been made with stereolithography technology (SLA) using transparent material in order to obtain the effect of light diffusion from the four pins for the LEDs, inside the columns we have inserted Elicoil M3 to facilitate the fixing of the casing without affecting plastic integrity.
The result was appreciated by the customer who succeeded in showing the “coated” product within the set times, obtaining consent for what was done. We thank AAEON again for involving us in this project!
