The case history we will talk about today concerns our collaboration with the company DMD Computers in the province of Turin, which deals with the design and production of high quality and reliability Visual Acuity evaluation systems, sold all over the world with the own VistaVision brand, both as ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) for prestigious companies.
The VistaVision family includes both devices for measuring visual acuity for binocular vision and monocular vision, or for measurements based on two-dimensional and three-dimensional stimuli.
Our collaboration began a few years ago with the redesign of the house of an apparatus intended for the presentation of two-dimensional and three-dimensional optotypes.
Our Engineer Virginia Sinni started from a previous plastic case supplied by DMD and redesigned the two half-shells according to the customer’s request.
Then we took care of the production of the prototype through Stereolithography with Resin Accura XTreme Plastic obtaining a monolithic piece of large dimensions.
The project was approved and we moved on to the next step: Eng. Sinni dealt with the design of the prototype mold with interchangeable dies, for the details of the rear monitor case and the frame. The new monitor also passed this second approval phase and we moved on to series production by injection molding with HIPS material.
We show you below some photos of this interesting work for which we thank all the staff of DMD Computers for the consolidated collaboration with our Group.
