Many production lines have an integrated diagnostic system to check product compliance in real time. Our client Au.Tec srl (http://www.au-tec.it) develops vision and advanced robot guidance systems and 3D systems, especially for the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors, in its own laboratory.
In the specific case, we made for them silicone replicas of an UV lamp cover to fit on an ultraviolet vision system. This particular device allows a homogeneous diffusion of the light beam and through the image capture system reports the immediate reading of the product by indicating deviations from standard compliance. We use a white material then pigmented to obtain the blue lids, after we fit on them the satin transparent diffuser. The features of the material allow us to recommend the use of silicone mould replicas even on automotive production lines as it has excellent heat resistance and mechanical stress, this lamp runs in production lines that work continuously without interruptions.
