The case history we propose you today concerns the concept of an electric car designed for disabled people in wheelchairs.

The mobility of persons confined in a wheelchair is a question analyzed under several points of view: architecture, transportation, availability of services in public local etc.

The particular project we worked on some time ago had as its objective the enhancement of driving of people with disabilities, working on a safe and accessible car and ensuring the complete safety of the passengers. Access to the cabin is via the back door that allows a total entrance with the wheelchair, anchored at the time of driving to an internal locking system.

The exterior of the car deliberately recalls a bubble to convey the idea of security against impacts, enhanced by the presence of rubbery material in caps. The provisions of the commission had the goal of producing the body of the vehicle in thermoformed plastic, working on materials to make them resistant and safe. Initially the car was designed to host only the driver with steering wheel and commands similar to those of a scooter, and a battery power supply that would guarantee however the moving in city traffic.
