3D file analysis

The fundamental requirement to start any preliminary evaluation is to have a three-dimensional file of the prototype to be made which must be designed for 3D printing and optimized for the specific process chosen. The design phases end with the creation of an .stl file.

In this first phase, we believe it is essential to collect the project specifications to understand the functionality of the prototypes that the customer must make. This is because only by carefully choosing the 3D printing service and the materials, will you be sure to be able to get answers from the prototypes made, to be able to use them for the functionality that we initially assumed. This process allows you to create prototypes with definitive plastic or metallic material, and better precision than 3D printing in the face of higher costs and lead times. As an alternative to 3D printing, where preliminary conditions allow, it is possible to produce small series in materials that simulate ABS with replicas from the silicone mold. This process is generally valid when there is a need to produce a pre-series (dozens of prototypes) with plastic materials and better performance than what I can achieve with 3D printing services. In this area I have the possibility to use rigid, semi-rigid materials and rubbers also with V0, Food, Medical etc. certifications.
